Diamonds are a girl's bestfriend, well at least that's what the lifestyle magazine Kohl is banking on. The magazine just upped its anti in the latest issue by paying $10,000 to Damas, an exclusive jewelry designer and manufacturer, for 91 grams of gold and 622 diamonds to be encrusted on the front page. The special edition cover will be auctioned off in October to raise money for the Rashid Pediatric Therapy Center in Dubai. Until then, the cover will be featured at various Damas locations throughout the Gulf Cooperation Council.
The front cover will not feature Marilyn Monroe but the next up-and-coming sex kitten Katrina Kaif, the Bollywood beauty known for her angelic face, incredible physic and box-office flops. Well-known celebrity snapper Avinash Gowariker photographed Kaif, also named the world’s sexiest women according to some overzealous magazine, for the cover and showcases her famous curves in a lustrous black dress. In the past Kaif has come under harsh scrutiny for appearing in public places in India and Eygpt in short skirts and revealing outfits. Hopefully her new cover will appease the critics and bolster her international appeal but Monroe would have been the better choice.
