Are you starting to see the connection to Sex and the City yet?
The show was created by Mathew Weiner, also noted for his writing and production involvement in season five and six of the Sopranos, is set in 1960s New York City. A fast paced, growing economy where the money is plentiful, and so appear to be the women. Most of the characters are either engaged or married, each fulfilling their extra-marital tendencies on a more than regular basis. So, the only real difference to the Sex and the City plot is the relationship status of its characters.
So, for those men whose women in their lives forced them to watch the entire six seasons of Sex and the City, may now have their male equivalent; a much more testosterone driven and politically incorrect version.
